MARBLE PRODUCT CARE
Marble should be cleaned with a neutral cleaner, stone soap or a mild dishwashing detergent and warm water.
You can also clean marble with baking soda and warm water (white marble) – do not use bleach or use anything abrasive to rub as this will scratch the marble.
Marble is porous so try to never leave water or liquid for long periods of time on honed marble as it will soak in and possibly leave a mark.
ALABASTER PRODUCT CARE
Alabaster is composed of bi-hydrated calcium sulphate and has a hardness between 2.2 and 2.5 on the Mohs Scale.
Being a delicate and relatively soft and porous stone, it should not be kept in direct contact with adverse atmospheric conditions, nor close to sources of heat.
Our products are treated with oil and wax. To clean, they should be dusted lightly with a slightly damp soft brush or cloth and then left to dry naturally. Once dry they can be polished using Vaseline or a neutral oil which should be applied using a soft brush.
When the oil has been absorbed any excess can be removed with a soft cloth.
ONYX PRODUCT CARE
Cleaning onyx takes some extra care because it is very porous and can be damaged by acidic cleaners or excessive moisture. Use a soft cloth and a mild soap like dishwashing liquid avoid cleaning products that aren’t specifically designed for stone. Our objects are treated with a sealant for additional protection.
